Portrait of Jimi Hendrix head recreated out of 5,000 plectrums

Daily Mail: “A mosaic of guitar maestro Jimi Hendrix has been ‘picked’ for auction at an exclusive sale of music memorabilia.
The inventive piece of art made from more than 5,000 Fender guitar plectrums is a unique portrait of the US legend and could be sold off for as much as £16,000.
Manchester artist Ed Chapman spent several days transforming the Fender guitar ‘picks’ into the image of the US star, which will be unveiled at London’s legendary Abbey Road Studios ahead of the Sound & Vision music heritage auction.

The event on Thursday, will raise money for Cancer Research UK and the piece which measures 120cm x 100cm, has a guide price of between £12,000 and £16,000.”
