International Artists protest against the violence in Bahrain

Posted filed underBahrain, Menasa, Politics.

There was a little incident in Sharjah yesterday which went sort of unnoticed: a couple of artists protested outside the Sharjah Biennial against Saudi Arabia and the UAE sending troops to Bahrain. The local police interferred and the protest was over relatively fast. But this proves that even in Sharjah the authorities start to get nervous while things are happening fast over in Bahrain. Various sources report that troops have blocked the Salmaniya Hospital in Manama and wont let anyone in or out, very, very disturbing and gruesome videos keep popping up on Youtube, the Shi’ites are talking about a ‘war’ already and it’s getting more and more dangerous for the media in Manama. What has started as a local uprising has the potential for a civil war in the region by now.
