abc / Berliner Liste / Music Week – A week full of art in Berlin

Posted filed underArt Fairs, Germany.

Now that Berlin’s Art Forum is no more, abc has to show that it can actually replace the old fair with some younger people and fresh blood while still drawing collectors. This year the focus is on painting, also in the form of videos, photographs and sculptures. Parallel we have the Berliner Liste Fair with more than 100 international galleries, projects and artists. Plus the Berlin Music Week has just started and from what we have heard it should be a pretty interesting weekend (…looking forward to part-time bartender Phil Collins (no, not that bald singer!) on „This Unfortunate Thing Between Us“ at HAU on thursday.) Check out the homepage for more.

Press.TV: “Two Dubai art galleries are planning to exhibit a number of their Iranian paintings at the 2011 abc-art Berlin Contemporary art show in Germany. The Third Line and Isabelle van den Eynde galleries will introduce works by Abbas Akhavan and the Haerizadeh brothers during the event’s About Painting exhibition. ”
