The British Art Show is widely recognized as the most ambitious and influential exhibition of contemporary British art. BAS7 is curated by Lisa Le Feuvre and Tom Morton and includes work by 39 artists from the last five years, three quarters of which is seen here for the first time.
The Southbank Centre uploaded a whole lot of videos on Youtube to accompany the show and one of them is a look at the latest works of German Fine-art photographer and artist Wolfgang Tillmans which you can watch below.
Hm, ok, he really doesn’t have anything new to say, but we have more.
LISTEN: Wolfgang Tillmans – A keynote lecture by the London-based artist for The Frieze Art Fair
Contacts 3 – Wolfgang Tillmans
This is dvd #3 from the Contacts documentary, it says in the description. Is this an outtake from “If One Thing Matters: A Film About Wolfgang Tillmans“?
If that’s not your cup of tea either, we also have two music videos Tillmans worked on, including his latest work for The Opiates.
Pet Shop Boys – Home And Dry
In 2002, Tillmans filmed a video clip for the pop band Pet Shop Boys’ single “Home & Dry”, composed almost entirely of shots documenting the mice living in the London Underground system. Nice.
The Opiates – Rainy Days and Saturdays (2011)
You know what Beavis & Butthead would say about this, don’t you? And you know what, they’re right!
