Festival Focus – Part One

Posted October 7th, 2013

We would like to thank everyone who helped make the first edition of the ikono On Air Festival such a great success: all the artists, curators and art institutions who cooperated with us, our broadcasting partners in Berlin and abroad, and our wonderful audience who made the first art festival exclusively broadcast on TV a very special one.

Below you find the first round from a series of videos related to the festival. We start with some impressions from the opening party.

Festival Focus – The Opening

This snapshot documents the opening ceremony of ikonoTV’s On Air Festival from September 2013. The opening took place at the Collegium Hungaricum Berlin on September 6th 2013. The opening countdown people were watching can be seen in full length below.

ikono On Air Festival: Count Down

Thanks to the boys and girls in our editing department for their most wonderful work on the Count Down and many, many other things.

ikono On Air Festival: Count Up

The festival was wrapped up with a Count Up which you can watch above.

With tens of thousands of visitors to our live web stream, we hope that you, your families, and your friends enjoyed journeying through over 40 years of video art.

Stay with us all year round by tuning into our live web stream and TV channels!

Great thanks also to those who participated in the festival’s events: the official opening at Collegium Hungaricum, the panel discussions at SUPERMARKT and the Design Akademie at Planet Modulor during Social Media Week, the workshops at Node Center for Curatorial Studies and Spazio Aereo Venice, the performance at PLATOON KUNSTHALLE, and the screenings at Ars Electronica, Preview Art Fair, Kjosk, Import Projects, Kühlhaus Berlin, Spazio Aereo Venice, QUT/The Cube, and Channels Film Festival Melbourne.
