Hans Holbein The Younger was born in Augsburg and first painted murals and religious works. His late Gothic style was enriched by artistic trends in Italy, France and the Netherlands, as well as by Renaissance Humanism. “The Ambassadors” painting memorializes two wealthy, educated and powerful young men. On the left is Jean de Dinteville, aged 29, French Ambassador to England in 1533. To the right stands his friend, Georges de Selve, bishop of Lavau.

As a fine art TV broadcaster ikono initiates new ideas that make art accessible - so naturally our webstore pays special attention to supporting the concept of artistic practice. That's why our shop contains items that are only available on demand. Following the motto, "accessible price, unusual content", we seek to collaborate with artists offering exclusive art objects for the home at an affordable price. Through our online shopping experience, we want to counter the tendency of the internet today to offer mass produced objects, without guidance, to consumers ravished by the storm of choice. Working directly with artists to create a small selection of high-quality, unique items, we intend to create a treasure trouve of art and design gems. The online design will allow random exploration for the discovery of works presented in a magazine style.
