Lahumière Design

Lamp Carrèment

Lahumière Design was founded in 2008 in association with the Gallery Lahumière.

Our ambition is to publish contemporary furniture and lighting made of surprises, small shifts and a certain simplicity.

Our will (and our pleasure) is to undertake, as much as possible, the production of our products in our Parisian workshop. This allows us both to find the pleasure of the act, the confrontation with the material but also to better manage manufacturing details, deadlines, to be more independent in our manufacturing processe and able to adapt more easily to decoration projects.

Environmental information:
Our lamps are built to last. They are made in the region (Ile de France) (for the majority of components). They are made of steel and / or aluminum which are recyclable materials. The paints used are lead free.

Our Philosophy

As a fine art TV broadcaster ikono initiates new ideas that make art accessible - so naturally our webstore pays special attention to supporting the concept of artistic practice. That's why our shop contains items that are only available on demand. Following the motto, "accessible price, unusual content", we seek to collaborate with artists offering exclusive art objects for the home at an affordable price. Through our online shopping experience, we want to counter the tendency of the internet today to offer mass produced objects, without guidance, to consumers ravished by the storm of choice. Working directly with artists to create a small selection of high-quality, unique items, we intend to create a treasure trouve of art and design gems. The online design will allow random exploration for the discovery of works presented in a magazine style.
