james early luckypdf James Early is a London based artist and member of art collective LuckyPDF. Often locating projects outside of arts established institutions and within mainstream media outlets, L/PDF have worked collaboratively to produce live internet TV shows at Frieze Art Fair, film projects at the Barbican, Athens Biennale and for BBC Culture Show. Last year they founded ongoing education project School of Global Art, presented at Global Art Forum, Art Dubai, Fierce Festival Birmingham, Next Wave Festival Melbourne, Frieze Magazine and dismagazine.com and at the ICA London; in which Early performed a gallery tour with TOWIE reality TV star Chloe Sims, continuing an interest in broadcasting, popular culture and intervention. In 2012 L/PDF launched s/s13 fashion line, showcasing amalgam prints of works of their piers, exhibited at V22, and a diffusion display at Boetzelaer|Nispen, Amsterdam. Recently L/PDF has worked with brands Freds Cigarettes and MIGROS supermarkets to create irreverent advertising projects for shows at Grouphab.it, Berlin and Les Urbaines, Lausanne, Switzerland. In 2012 Early acted as judge on the jury panel of the Converse/Dazed 2012 Emerging Artists Award in association with the Whitechapel Gallery. Forthcoming exhibitions include a pop-up show in association with ICA and Selfridges, participation in The Moving Museum Show, London, and a theatre based production at the Abrons center, New York.
