Rosalind Schneider

Video as painting is the focus of my work. I create layered landscape images with multiple realities that progress from the real into abstraction and a fusion of the two. They are expanded visions of the earth. An extensive exhibition history includes the Hirshhorn Museum, Whitney Museum, Bronx Museum, Islip Museum, Chelsea Museum, Hudson River Museum, SculptureCenter, The Brecht Forum, The N.Y. Hall of Science Millennium exhibit and Art Miami and Art Basel closing events at the Miami Beach Cinematheque. “Alaska, a Fusion of Realities” was projected for my solo show at Artifact Gallery NYC and acted as a key to the paintings that were based on its video frames.
