Carl Michael von Hausswolff & Thomas Nordanstad


Carl Michael von Hausswolff lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden and Palma de Mallorca. Since the end of the 70s, von Hausswolff has worked as a composer using recording technology as his main instrument and as a visual artist using video and still photography as well as other media. His music may be heard through labels such as Touch, iDeal, RasterNoton and Firework Editions. His visual artworks and installations have been seen at various biennials such as Venice, Istanbul, Liverpool, Moscow and Pusan and numerous other places. He currently curates the sound-installtion FREQ_OUT and collaborates with artist Leif Elggren, film-maker Thomas Nordanstad, EVP re-searcher Michael Esposito and author Leslie Winer.

Thomas Nordanstad is a Swedish filmmaker and artist. Nordanstad’s work has been shown at a wide range of museums and art institutions such as the 2nd Moscow Art Biennale and Musee d’art moderne de la ville de Paris. His work with CM von Hausswolff was recently featured in “Soirees Nomades” at the Fondation Cartier, Paris. His documentary film work has also been featured and received awards in several International film festivals, and he has produced a range of documentaries for the Swedish National Broadcast Corp. (SVT). Nordanstad lives and works between Stockholm, Bangkok and in the village of Borrby in South Sweden. He is currently working on a art/documentary production for the TBA-21 foundation in Vienna, about “the sounds of gold” in Remedios, Colombia, and on his first own feature film “The Letting go”.
