Hieronymus Bosch

The Garden of Eden

Hieronymus Bosch was a Dutch painter, born c. 1450 and died August 1516. Little is known of his life and training since he left behind no letters or diaries.”The Garden of Earthly Delights” art work is a triptych comprising a square middle panel flanked by two rectangular wings that can close over the center as shutters. These outer wings, when folded shut, display a grisaille painting of the earth during the Creation. It is his best-known and most ambitious work. It reveals the artist at the height of his powers; in no other painting does he achieve such complexity of meaning or such vivid imagery.

Our Philosophy

As a fine art TV broadcaster ikono initiates new ideas that make art accessible - so naturally our webstore pays special attention to supporting the concept of artistic practice. That's why our shop contains items that are only available on demand. Following the motto, "accessible price, unusual content", we seek to collaborate with artists offering exclusive art objects for the home at an affordable price. Through our online shopping experience, we want to counter the tendency of the internet today to offer mass produced objects, without guidance, to consumers ravished by the storm of choice. Working directly with artists to create a small selection of high-quality, unique items, we intend to create a treasure trouve of art and design gems. The online design will allow random exploration for the discovery of works presented in a magazine style.
