Sandro Botticelli


Sandro Botticelli (c. 1445-May 1510) was a Florentine painter of the Florentine school during the Early Renaissance.
The “Primavera” painting is part of a series of mythological works executed by Boticelli. It was commissioned by a cousin of Lorenzo Medici, Lorensy di Pierfrancesco and celebrates the arrival of spring.
